Russian version

After the distribution of Durex condoms, I received requests for information about normal condoms. The problem is that I have been OK for a year now, and the barrier method of contraception is not relevant for us now. You can, of course, list the brands that are in the top in terms of sales and reviews in our store, plus those that I liked before. But I still advise you what I personally tried, it's more honest. So, I bought a lot of condoms, and for several weeks we were testing them. The most difficult thing was to persuade my husband: as they say, a sex blogging wife is a grief in the family.

Test purchase participants: Unilatex, Viva, Ganzo, Masculan, Okamoto, Vizit Nano-Tech.

Unilatex

Size: 190 × 54 mm.
Wall thickness: 0.05 to 0.07 mm.
Price: about 150 rubles / 3 pcs.
Country of origin: Malaysia.

Good condoms, and don't be confused by the Malaysian production and the super-affodable price tag. Produced by the Spanish pharmaceutical holding Ciriano Global SL: they are well known in the European and US markets and are sold at 100 million packs per year.

There are six types of condoms in the Unilatex line: classic, ultra-thin, scented, ribbed, point and extra strong, plus a couple of water-based lubricants (Unilatex Gel is a regular resident of my nightstand: I use it with a menstrual cup). For the test, I took Ultra Thin, Dotted and Multifruit.

Ultra Thin. Not the thinnest but the feel is quite natural. Compared to other products in the line, there is more lubrication here, plus a rather pleasant fragrance. Corresponding to the size.

Dotted. I liked it for the well-felt bumps, but the smell could be better. My husband did not appreciate them (they are thick), I will leave it to myself – I will use them with the rabbit from MoyToy.

Multifruit. Bright, rather dense and deliciously smelling of chemical strawberries, banana and tutti-frutti. It seems to be the pampering of pure water, but you can find functional use for them.

Life hack # 1: for those who practice sex with two or more partners: for each girl there must be her own color (mixing microflora usually does not lead to anything good).

Life hack # 2: flavored condoms make cool latex cunnilingus wipes.

In addition to packs of three, Unilatex has large (15 pcs.) And very large (144 pcs.) ones.

Viva ribbed

Size: 180 × 52 mm.
Thickness: 0.06mm.
Price: about 70 rubles / 3 pcs.
Country of origin: Malaysia.

If Unilatex can be called affordable, then Viva is surely free. A pack of three pieces costs around 70 rubles. Latex is simpler and denser, durable (I pulled it on the hand without tearing). There is a rubbery smell. The corrugation is clearly felt. The lubricant is silicone, everything is standard in quantity, but it did not suit me: after about five minutes a burning sensation appeared, so I had to take a shower.

If you are a poor student or do not want to waste money (and the quality of the pharmacy condoms is fine for you), try Viva. The risk that your reaction to grease will come out is the same as that of Durex Contexts and the price tag is half as much. The line also includes classics, ultra-thin, dotted, flavored.

Ganzo sense

Size: 180 × 52 mm.
Thickness: 0.05mm.
Price: about 200 rubles / 3 pcs.
Country of origin: Great Britain.

Moderately thin, with a pleasant vanilla smell. Forgetting that you/your partner is wearing rubber is not the case here, but there is no glove feeling either. The quality and quantity of lubricant are also without complaints. In addition to the traditional varieties, the collection contains anatomically shaped condoms with ribs and extensions (with benzocaine).

Masculan Ultra Fine extra thin

Size: 185 × 53 mm.
Thickness: 0.05mm.
Price: about 250 rubles / 3pcs.
Country of origin: Germany.

They are similar to the previous ones, except that there is more lubricant, and it smells like fruit gum. Comfortable (fit tightly, but do not pinch or overtighten anything), soft, not too noticeable for both partners.

Okamoto Skinless Skin Super Lubricative

Size: 185 × 53 mm .
Wall thickness: 0.052 mm.
Price: about 300 rubles / 3pcs.
Country of origin: Japan.

The Japanese know a lot about condoms, and Okamoto is proof of that. Very pleasant rubber, starting with a pale pink color and ending with a smell (or rather, its complete absence). But, to my great regret, there is not enough lubrication. It is good in quality, no doubt: silicone, without taste and aroma, glides well, but the quantity is common. Those who were hoping to do without tube lubrication will not be able to do it, guys.

And one more thing: according to some buyers, condoms are slightly undersized. If the diameter of the penis is on the verge of standard, then perhaps they will press.

Vizit Nano-Tech

Size: 190 × 58 mm.
Wall thickness: 0.03mm.
Price: about 500 rubles / 2 pcs.
Country of origin: Germany.

The condoms are made of polyurethane and have a number of indisputable advantages over latex ones: they are more durable, thinner (the thickness of the most famous polyurethane Sagami is only 0.01 mm), suitable for those with allergy, can be used with any lubricant, including oil and fat-based ones.

This is our first experience with non-latex things. Well, what can I say... Damn good! They are practically not felt (I did not feel the barrier at all and several times checked whether it was in place), there is no peculiar smell, there is enough lubrication. By the way, the outer and inner sides of the condom are different: it is impossible to confuse. Another unusual thing is packaging in the form of a plastic container (whoever uses lenses will understand).

Polyurethane condoms, of course, are not cheap: at least 250 rubles apiece, and the vaunted Sagami is even more expensive. Guys with a latex allergy, I sympathize with you and your wallet. As for Nano-Tech – apart from the price, I did not find any other disadvantages.

Outcomes

None of the tested condoms broke / fell off / was lost during use. Not bad already!

My husband-and-I’s rating from best to worst looks like this.

1. Vizit Nano-Tech – undeniably the most invisible of those present.

2. Okamoto and Masculan – we could not decide who is worthy of silver more: “Japanese” or “German”.

3. Unilatex Ultra Thin is the case when price is not an indicator of quality.

4. Ganzo is solid good.

5. Unilatex Dotted – a plus sign for a distinct relief.

6. Unilatex Multifruit – I'm not a fan of brightly scented condoms, but for certain purposes it's ok.

7. Viva – as an economy option, they are not bad, but it is better not to take risks with a sensitive mucous membrane (mine is insensitive and it still reacted). Others can give it a go. If it doesn’t come in, then it’s not a pity to throw it away.
